Okay, before going further, can I check these diplomas cause I would just like to make sure that they’re not from some med school in the Philippines. - Susan Mayer-Delfino, Desperate Housewives.

Admit it dude, there is nothing bad or racist in the spiel and as far as my point of view is concern, it is just a plain statement of facts about Philippine diploma and we should be glad because the people behind Desperate Housewives was not able to pinpoint as a matter of fact that the diplomas might come from our beloved Recto.

We can claim to react based on a varying degrees of sensibility on the spiel but the point is, DH is not and will never be a politically correct nor will ever be a morally upright show and calling for its boycott will just be a good publicity gimmick for them specially that some assholes (like me!) and biatches (like you!) don’t really watch whatever is happening in Wisteria Lane at all.

Isa pa, baka naman strategy lang iyan para kumukulo pa ang network war since DH is being shown locally sa ABS-CBN’s Studio 23 and if that is the case why not boycott the entire Kapamilya network for being irresponsible kung sakaling i-air nila ito over and over again to agitate and generate viewership to the already uninteresting twist and plots of the housewives and kung sabagay, our friends in Quiapo can provide us a more comfortable means to see the show uninterrupted.

Pangalawa pa, aren’t we a society of double standards? Humihirit ng humihirit ang iba diyan tungkol sa status ng mga medical schools sa Pilipinas samantalang in all truth and honesty, mas laitero pa at mas discriminatory pa tayong mga Pinoy sa mga graduate ng ibang schools. Hindi ba mas mataas ang hiring rate ng mga high-end, arrogant medical institutions sa mga overrated schools over like that of the graduates of Fatima University, na bagaman performing based on the medical board exams, were still considered as gutter school by the general public.

Pangatlo, to be positive about it, baka pwedeng i-rethink ng mga medical schools ang kanilang performance level o baka naman kinakailangan na rin ng ISO certification sa ating mga exported health workers or baka naman ang lahat ng mga ambisyosong medical practitioner na nagbabalak pumunta sa States ay dito na lang sa Pilipinas manatili tutal nandito naman na ang lahat ng mga reaksyunaryong sumusuporta sa inyong galing at kakayanan.

And for the benefit of the doubt foundation, here are some thoughts from the blogosphere which you might be interested to read since as far as I know, you deserve some company while miserably ranting about racial slurs from an already anomalous show format who don’t aspired to be politically correct: Pinoyblogero, Ivan, Shari, Doc Martin, Kengkay, Sassy Lawyer, Lester and Ambo.

And my bottom line: assuming that Philippine medical diplomas are guilty as charged of being not credible, let it be a challenge to the medical community to shape up or continuously suffered from having a bad reflection on television.

Yun lang.

Mayan women do not show the usual signs of menopause; like flushing skin etc. According to psychologist, it might be because of the positive outlook of these people on menopause.
